Catching up on project 365

Ok on the blog I kept for years, on LiveJournal, there is a project called, Project 365.
On this project you sign up to post one pic from each day of the year. It makes you take more of an active approach to cataloging your life in pictures. It also makes habit out of something in your life daily. I am wanting to do it this year.

so here we go, I need to catch up for the first 13 days, and while I may not have taken all of these pictures, I was either there, or somehow involved.

Day 1
Alex and I made this and one other cool hot dog sign for our friend who sells hot dogs. We were headed to his cart at 1230am on the first of the year. I loved having fun with these downtown.

Day 2
The new year found us in St Augustine. I was so exhausted from the days before, so the boys went to the carousel and I took a nap. So here is Alex riding the horse.

Day 3
Yes, Alex is in the same outfit he loves that shirt. We were in St Augustine on the 3rd and as we were leaving, we saw this interesting one man band. Not great as far as one man bands go, but quite colorful and very interactive.

Day 4
Do you see that his shirt says
"Warning:Contains
Dangerous Gases"?
How ironic

Day 10

The box baler at the Second Harvest Food Bank where my boys worked Saturday.

Day 13

Today was Homeschool Day in Jacksonville. They had a special honoring of homeschoolers at the City Council meeting and we got to go. Here are my very cold boys indulging my desire for a photo before we left to go eat dinner. Man my hubby looks hot!

So, yes there are many photos missing, but I am going to try and be more aware and post take a photo everyday...I may not post them daily but I will try and at least keep up more on the taking them end.

so far it is coming along....just how I like it....

we'll leave the light on for ya

as we speak, my beloved husband is trying to disconnect the battery from my car. The interior lights wont go out and the battery has been dying a lot lately so he knows for me to have a car in the morning...or should i say later this morning, that he needs to disconnect the battery.

should i tell him that i dont know how to reconnect the darn thing come morningtime?

one more day till i go back to both my jobs....tutoring for our Classical Conversations group and running my natural foods buying club. a nice long 4 week off time has been great, but back to the grind.

i want a tattoo...

well, hey!

If you are here, then you are probably either lost, or someone played a joke on you. but no matter, come on and read.
welcome
this is my life
and i dont like using the shift key, so i dont do a lot of proper punctuation...i also use those three little dots...elipses i think they are called, way too much
first I will tell you where the name of this off the wall blog came from.

my son.

i guess i could leave it at that and have you wondering or disappointed, but I will go ahead and let you in on the rest of the story.

One day we were driving around...heaven only knows where, and I hear in the back seat my son say these words.
'just how i like it...nice and boogery'
well being any decent mother i was very curious as to what prompted such very honest but nontheless odd words.
I looked back to see my son, mirror in hand, inspecting the inside of his nose.

a moment went by and he was still looking, so I had to ask,
"~Alex, why is it a good thing your nose is boogery?

~Uhm because that means it is working

~and how do you figure that honey

~because the boogers mean your nose has trapped bad things and kept them out...like snotty little webs

~good point, i am glad your nose is nice and boogery."

And so I thought for a second, if i ever start a blog, it will be called 'just how i like it nice and boogery' because, although you never really think about it, you want your nose to have boogers...and you want your life to be full of looking at things and appreciating the small things...knowing it is humming along how you like it....
